Finding our passion is one part but making a move towards realization is a great challenge. This is the lesson I have not easily learned because I was trapped in procrastination. In achieving our goals in life we must first start with conquering ourselves.

@Kosmo You’d be a great fiction writer–I love to write fiction as well. I think for a lot of us blogging is a great outlet that we are fortunate enough to have at our fingertips. That just gave me an idea for a post…better go write it down!

@Yasmine I completely agree with you. Many people are in a position where they can’t follow their life’s passion for whatever reason. I was in this situation for a long time. I’m very fortunate now that I’ve not only realized my passion (finally), but that I’m also in a position to pursue it. As I mentioned briefly in my post, I got very sick from not being true to myself. Sometimes we can modify our passion if only to grasp just a piece of it.

t’s not enough to find a passion, you have to have the right circumstances to be able to pursuit it. I know my passion since I’m 17 but I never was able to make my dream come truth. And believe me, I’ve tried. First I had my parents that wouldn’t let me study what I wanted, than I lost everything 2 times in my life and had to work so hard just to rebuild my family’s life again. After all that, I feel so tired that I’m not able to fight any more for my passion…

If I had the time and financial independence, I’d be a full time fiction writer

But for now, I settle for writing a short story every Friday (such as the story linked in CommentLuv below) and making sporadic headway on my novel.
